The problem we refused to accept
A working coach touches five tools a day: one for programming, one for scheduling, one for payments, a spreadsheet for tracking, and a group chat holding it together. None of them talk. Every seam costs an evening, and every evening costs coaching. The tools weren't bad — they were halves, built by two industries that never met.
What we built instead
One system where the loop closes: a session that books already knows how it gets paid; a finished workout updates progress before the chalk settles; a client's streak is visible to the person coaching it. And a client experience good enough that clients ask their coaches for it — because software for coaches only works if their people love using it too.
A stance we won't trade away
Progress in Raelan rewards consistency, completion, and recovery — never ego numbers. Streaks don't break on rest days. Points don't scale with plates. It's engagement engineering with a conscience, and it's non-negotiable.
The business, plainly
For anyone evaluating Raelan as more than a product: the model is aligned, and the foundation is fresh. Clients are free — they're the growth engine, pulling coaches in. Coaches pay no software fee; Raelan takes a share of payments processed, so revenue scales with the coaching economy on the platform, not with seat counts. Facilities arrive next on the same codebase — the coach who grows never migrates, the deal size grows with them.
Built in 2026 with no legacy stack: one data model under everything, append-only money ledgers, row-level security on every table, and structured timelines an AI can actually reason over — which is why our importer can rebuild a coach's decade of spreadsheets in an afternoon, and why the incumbents' data lock-in stops mattering. Operations run on our own internal console; quality runs on a probe suite that checks isolation and money invariants on every change.
